forgotten warrior-generals, and you have lived together in the sand-covered
caves of the Ancient Ones. You are bonded together throughout eternity, and
you will never be alone.

This is the work of the ego. Your ego is your self-image created by thought. It’s
your social mask, one that constantly requires validation because it lives in fear
of losing its sense of identity.

The bond he had shared with her had been like a bridge out of his fortressed mind, it allowed him to set foot outside it’s protective compound and explore the sun-warmed grass on the other side.
